I think it's a treat to see the way time lifts your feet. You had a skip and a bounce. You kept a little clip and a crown. Somewhere down the line I hope that you'd be extra kind to all the you's that you have been. I know what it's like to be the one you can't forgive. It's not your fault if chaos follows you through it all but don't give up. I know things can be real tough But you're stronger than me and I know that one day you will see how much you have guided me towards brighter days we all make mistakes so come around. We're good. Maybe in a while, we could reinvent your smile and maybe play like when we were kids. The couch can be a fort and pirate ship. It's not your fault if chaos follows you through it all but don't give up. I know things can be real tough But you're stronger than me and I know that one day you will see how much you have guided me towards brighter days we all make mistakes so come around. We're good.

Everything just went wrong Forgot the words to my own song Been inside for far too long But then again the wind is strong So live your life before it's gone Find the place where you belong Oh the time Spent lost in my own mind Oh it's fine It happens every night Why oh why Without reason or rhyme The leaves all changing color Makes me long for something new If one day I see you there Petals drifting on the air Sunlight warm enough to share Take my hand if you're prepared We can travel anywhere Finally I'm not scared

Hope is a dangerous way to make a holy ghost when you're alone. It can keep you locked up in a kind of sweet mirage where you can spend all your years in want. And it can run you dry chasing rainbows in the dark. But you, you pull me through every time I don't know what to do. You keep my thoughts up and you keep me grounded in now and help me set all my anger down. And here I find a better way to spend my time. Well I can wait for the sun to shine every little thing I'd ever want is in my life and maybe God's a freak cause he made me and he never put a second thought into setting me free. I'm so surprised by how my simple life of love, hugs and cats are enough. To get me through trials all I need is my bride to smile at my same stupid jokes. She leaves me these little love notes to keep me out of my head when I'm second guessing all my friends and foes and if I can't distinguish then I suppose I'm pretty toast But you believe in me and maybe I can believe it too but unlike ghosts, honey, I hug like a bear And when this plague is over I'm gonna maul you all. But maybe I can wait for the sun to shine. Every little thing I'd ever want is in my life. And maybe God got cheap when he made me He put together old spares and parts of broken dreams. I've gotten used to the simple truth that love turns to pain when you're alone. To get on through life you have to laugh and cry and make the decision your own. You've got one shot to live with your soul and I'd sign my name on mine every mistake and the winding path I took.

Hills 02:09
As I walk and wander The hills of my hometown As I often ponder The person I am now Are the words in my head The same words I speak out loud Am I doing it right Sometimes I wonder how All the people faces Do they smile or do they frown It's so hard to tell obscured as they are now And the dogs all barking As if to say hello Or as a warning to guard their precious home When I was young I never knew that old homesick chill But I've been gone so long so long I'm afraid I've fallen ill But it cools my worries The wind against my brow As the evening spills across The hills of my hometown

The sky painted with light But the photos never get the color right No stars tonight But the freeway traffic Sparkling so bright Time moves so slow Running circles running out of hope That's how it goes Draped in darkness searching for that glow Tired from the fight Keep on going try with all your might I know what it's like Fingers frozen stomach full of fright Oh no no no There's such a lovely long way left to go And though and though Silence is the kindest sound I know Oh wow Another day goes by It goes so fast when I'm feeling alright And now it's over Is it really over Shut those eyes goodbye, goodnight The night has become quite cold And I have become quite cold Oh wow Another day goes by It goes so fast when I'm feeling alright And now it's over Is it really over Shut those eyes goodbye, goodnight

Lullaby 03:49
One step at a time. let your eyes get used to the light and let all your worries float off and pop like ocean foam and love until the day you die. I hope to see you soon. You can be my sun and moon. I'll help your dreams take flight sail where our hearts collide and love you till the day I die. Truthfully, I'm lost. Running from the dark. But as long as you are there somewhere in tomorrow then I know that I can carry on. I can't wait to hold you tight gently in the night. We'll take the car and drive around till you're sleeping sound. Let's make the quiet count. But one step at a time. Let your eyes get used to the light and let all your worries float off and pop like ocean foam and love until the day you die. Cause I know just how hard some of these days are but I know if you're ever in fear frozen like a deer, my dear, I'll drop all my burdens for you.
